Immersed among the Moroccans: A founder’s story
I lived in Morocco for five months. One question kept coming back to me: why are the women here so radiant, and what do they do for such beautiful hair and skin?
The answer led me to the Amazigh way of life. For generations, Amazigh families have cared for their skin and hair with what the land gives them: minerals, plants, oils and clays, used simply and passed from mother to daughter. Their routines are an everyday part of life, and they feed the skin the way food feeds the body.
The more I learned, the more I wanted to live this way myself. I began to look at what I was putting on my skin and in my home, and I chose to move toward a natural life. I am not all the way there yet. I have already become half Moroccan, and I am happy about it. My baths and skincare are now small rituals of wellness, made with natural ingredients, and they have changed how I feel each day.
That is why I started ARGANI. I wanted to bring this way of caring for yourself to people everywhere, with the same authenticity, originality and centuries of heritage that I found in Morocco.
I hope our products inspire you to slow down and make a little time for yourself. Wellness can begin with a single ritual, and it can begin today.
With love,
Lamia Salim
