The material
Argan oil from Marrakech-Safi, where the argan forest runs down to the Atlantic, is the heart of this balm: rich in vitamin E and the fatty acids that keep the lips supple. Set into a soft, natural wax and a little shea butter, it melts at the touch of the lips and stays there.
Into it goes a breath of Aker El Fassi, the poppy and pomegranate pigment of Fès-Meknès. Not enough to paint the lips: enough to warm them with the translucent flush Moroccan women have worn for generations. On its own it nourishes; layered, it colours.
How to use it
The balm is made to melt at the warmth of the lips. Press rather than rub, and it settles into them instead of sitting on the surface.
A soft flush, morning and afternoon.
Glide it once across bare lips. The warmth of the lips softens it at once.
Press the lips together to spread the balm and its trace of colour evenly.
Reapply through the day. Each layer adds a little more colour and a little more softness.
The kindest moment for dry lips.
Before sleep, apply a fuller layer than you would by day.
The argan oil has the whole night to soften the lips. Wake to lips that feel new.
For a deeper red, the two together.
Press a little ARGANI Aker El Fassi onto the lips with a barely damp fingertip.
Glide the balm over the top. The colour deepens, softens and lasts longer.

Provenance
Two of Morocco's oldest beauty traditions meet in one small balm: the argan oil of Marrakech-Safi, pressed from kernels cracked by hand, and the pigment Fès-Meknès has made for centuries from poppy petals and pomegranate. Moroccan women have long carried both. ARGANI brings them together for the lips.
